Surge

Exhibition, 2013

Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park, Argyle

The semi-abstract sculpture Surge expresses the energy generated by homecoming Atlantic salmon leaping upstream. The curved tip of the sculpture is evocative of the strong tail movement that propels the salmon forward into the strong current of waterfall.

An ‘eye’ in the sculpture encourages viewers to find a viewpoint in the environment and connect with light and nature through that space.
