Second Skin II

‘Aquacultural Encounters’

Residency and exhibition, 2015-16
University of Stirling

The bronze and glass sculpture Second Skin II explores the development of fish immunology. The idea is to create a new protective ‘skin’ for the farmed salmon. The sculpture is made from pouring molten glass directly onto the bronze. Through this new glass layer, the bronze internal bone structure is visible.
