Profile

Fanny Lam Christie was born in Hong Kong and has been based in Perthshire since 1998.  She is a BA(Hons) graduate of Edinburgh College of Art in sculpture in 2004.  She studied oil painting previously with Professor Chen Shou Soo and Angela Lattanzi in Hong Kong.  She is also interested in bold Chinese brush work and calligraphy.

Her work is informed by nature, the changing landscape as well as our city environment.  Much of her work explores our relationship with nature.   Her large scale bronze 'Storm' was recognized by the N. S. MacFarlane Charitable Trust Award in the Royal Scottish Academy exhibition in 2006.

Fanny was awarded one of the four Grassroots Public Art commissions in West Lothian in 2010 to regenerate a community green space with sculpture.  The project has been successfully completed on time and within budget.

Fanny has a degree in business studies and has work experience in managing projects.  This allows her to deliver art projects smoothly.
